Too much snow! That was the year that my dad decided to buy a snowblower... (I can obviously see why!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-86951536993914340642010-02-08T08:52:17.649-05:002010-02-08T08:52:17.649-05:00I a senior in high school that year in Morehead Ke...I a senior in high school that year in Morehead Kentucky. We had over 45 inches of snow and the cars were completely invisible. Worst, the storm was followed by a very long cold snap so the snow couldn't melt. We had one plow truck for the entire region and it only cleared I64 and US 60. No internet, no cable TV (one station!), no Wii, no cell phones, ... just books and snow. School was closed for 6 weeks. We lived out in the country, 7 miles from town, which means we had no transportation for that entire time.

I remember lots of very long beautiful walks. And incredible boredom. This was like prison for a 16 year old boy.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13693029389703689482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-32636200518462266322010-01-29T01:37:03.867-05:002010-01-29T01:37:03.867-05:00my friend Brenda & I were stuck in Cincinnati,...my friend Brenda & I were stuck in Cincinnati, Ohio after a KISS concert, the storm hit that night! No doubt the longest School Year ever as we had to make up an extra hour each day that went well into June! My father bought my brother and I new sleds which I still have in my garage to this day. My birthday was in March and I remember having a SNOWBALL fight before school from the snow that didn't seem to completely melt until the end of March!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-52995646355734799082010-01-01T20:27:23.640-05:002010-01-01T20:27:23.640-05:00I am 47 years old and lived through this, I was a ...I am 47 years old and lived through this, I was a kid and just loved it, I now live in Florida and was trying to explain the Blizzard to my husband, the pictures were great, I am sure my Mom who still lives in Toledo has some pics, but thos just brought back so many memories, we made pizza, played jaxs and watched the news!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-65522979410437910512009-01-20T13:23:00.001-05:002009-01-20T13:23:00.001-05:00hey im glad you okhey im glad you okAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-74288004996178321682009-01-20T13:23:00.000-05:002009-01-20T13:23:00.000-05:00hey im glad you okhey im glad you okAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-72448214428858607072009-01-20T13:22:00.000-05:002009-01-20T13:22:00.000-05:00omg I would of been scard. you must of been board....omg I would of been scard. you must of been board. Still have it but use it only for that type of situation. And as I recall the Al Gore's of the day were predicting another Ice Age....seems as though the emissions from our cars and factories were blocking the sun.raven00https://www.blogger.com/profile/13384907105983552891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28838774.post-32405918947361217542007-02-12T20:54:00.000-05:002007-02-12T20:54:00.000-05:00I'm glad you wrote this.
